What is the Crossroads Conference you ask?

The Upper Midwest’s only entertainment industry conference. Two days packed full of seminars and showcases featuring the finest talent in music, film, theatre, art, food and beverage. All this in “The Country’s Fastest Growing Entertainment Scene” - DES MOINES, IOWA!

Held at various venues in the Court Ave District, the 2008 Conference will feature professional development seminars, marketing competition, networking reception and more. In 2007 there were over 600 entertainment professionals brought together to celebrate the growth and achievement of Iowa’s entertainers.

The Fall of Humanity, now in it’s second year, is a benefit for the Beacon of Life, a residential center for women. Last year, with the help of the Horseshoe Spatulas we raised over $400. This year we’re aiming to double that.

Did you pay too much for your Halloween outfit? Wear it again! It’s a costume party! Saturday, November 8 @ the House of Bricks. The doors open at 6pm, $5 at the door, all proceeds go to the Beacon of Life.
